I placed a digital alarm clock in Emma’s room a while back, only to take it away because it was pretty much pointless. She couldn’t yet tell the time and it just seemed like a waste of electricity. She needed a way to decipher between morning and night, because you can’t always tell by the sun! With her first day back-to-school quickly approaching, this is the perfect time to try the ZAZOO Kids Photo Clock.
Set-up was fairly straight forward. You can either use the controls at the back of the device or the included remote control. For me the remote was hard to use and I suspect that it’s because it needs a new battery. The first step is to set the time. You can choose to display the time just like a regular clock, use one of the included daytime/nighttime background images, or even your own photos. There are special occasion and personalized backdrops available for purchase.
Once you select your day/night images, you decide what time to display them. I set Emma’s clock to display her wake-up image at 7:30am and the bedtime picture at 8:00pm. You can also add an alarm if needed.
I love that this clock actually grows with your child. It can be used now to teach kids to remain in bed in a way they can understand, and later you can use it as a digital photo frame and clock. Kids can even listen to music on this device.
Emma’s clock fits perfectly with he decor in her room; she received the Candy Stripes model. The ZAZOO Kids photo clock is available in seven other colors and can be purchased online for $89.99. The price is a little high in my opinion, but we are very happy with the clock and we think it would make a great birthday or Christmas gift.
