I’m not a huge fan of winter. I’m cold and sick all of the time, it seems and every year I tell my husband that we’re going to have to relocate to somewhere with mild temperatures. One thing I know I’d miss are my boots. Other than friends and family of course.
I was reading the Yahoo! Style article 21 Winter Boots from $27 to $2,000 and I just couldn’t look away. There are never too many pairs of boots in a woman’s closet in my opinion. High heeled, tall, short, rugged, or sleek and sexy. I love them all and I could seriously wear them every day. In the article there is a good balance of average priced boots to high end. I normally spend in the area of $100-150 on a pair of boots. To spend more than that I have to really love them. And even that I will try with all my might to find a coupon. Because how else is a girl going to afford all of the boots?
When I stopped into DSW the other day, I picked up a pair of gorgeous black heeled boots from Nine West, similar to the ones shown above. I am now on the hunt for a low-heeled black riding boot for every day. I just can’t wear high heels as much as I used to before i had children. Over the summer I bought a pair in brown but I really need black to go with my wardrobe.
You may remember me posting about these beauties last week. I’m desperately trying to justify the purchase, as we have yet to have a single snowstorm here in New Jersey and I’m not sure if I’d look silly wearing these on a regular winter day. I keep going back and forth on it. What do you think?
Boots and socks go together like peanut butter and jelly, and my obsession with boots is only matched by my love for socks. I loved seeing all of the recommendations in the Cold Feet Gift Guide.
I will – I mean erm Santa will be stuffing quite a few stockings with socks this year, including mine. I’m not sure when or why socks got a bad rap, because they make awesome gifts. I’ve been coveting knee or boot socks this year to go with my boots, and also socks made from luxurious materials like bamboo.
