Xfinity’s Expansive Service Options + NEST Thermostat Giveaway!

By Heather

Wow, Xfinity has a lot more to offer families than I knew! A big thanks to them for sponsoring this post. #XfinityMoms

xfinity X1

There is so much information to learn about the many services offered with Comcast Xfinity. Much of it is underutilized, and I’m speaking from personal experience. As an X1 subscriber, I did not know that I could speak a movie line into my listening remote to help find something I wanted to watch. That is until I saw that clever holiday commercial set in grandpa and grandma’s house. I love my X1, and I found so much more to love after attending an informative breakfast the other day that Xfinity held for several local bloggers.

Xfinity X1 Box
My favorite part about X1 was being able to talk into my remote. The kids love it because they know the names of their shows, but not necessarily the channel number. Out of town guests love it for that very same reason. But I learned so much more to love about X1. I was literally texting my husband during the event to tell him that he can check team scores and rosters with our box!

Netflix Partnership
A few weeks ago I noticed that I was able to access Netflix right through my X1 box instead of using my son’s game system or by using our smart tv. It’s made getting access to all of our favorite Netflix movies and shows so much easier, and also can prevent customers from paying for a rental when the program is offered for free to Netflix subscribers. I am one of those people who has in the past paid for renting something that I already had for free. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Once you locate the show or movie you want to watch, you are given options and Netflix is an option it will show as such. Life changing!

Xfinity home

Xfinity Home
While we don’t currently have Xfinity Home Service, we learned a lot about that too. How cool would it be to be notified when your child gets home from school, or to use your phone to adjust the temperature in your house or turn out the lights. Whether you’re worried about a burglar or just want to manage your home remotely, there are a myriad of options and services available.

In encourage you to visit one of the new posh Xfinity locations to learn all there is to know about Xfinity services, or at the very least visit Xfinity.com for more info.

Very interesting! I didn’t realize Xfinity offered this range of services. The nest looks like something I would enjoy having in my home. I could definitely use the energy savings.

I don’t have any of these neat services. They would be pretty interesting to try out.

I know increasing my security is one goal for next year and this is one way of monitoring the home with Xfinity Home. I don’t have the service but would am consider something to make the home safer.
