On Thursday we went for the 20-week ultrasound, otherwise known as the anatomy scan. The tension was building as the technician shot all of the pictures during this unusually long ultrasound. Of course on our minds was wanting a healthy baby first and foremost…
…but we both were eager to learn the sex of our baby.
Emma was being especially difficult during the ultrasound. She was carrying on and asking for things we didn’t have, which honestly is pretty unusual for her. I kept asking my husband to take her out into the waiting room, but he couldn’t bear to miss anything as he stared at the big flatscreen in the examination room.
Then, the question: Would you like to know the gender of your baby? Umm…YES!!!!
It’s a BOY!
We are so happy. We would have been happy no matter what, but we really wanted a little boy next and God answered our prayers!
Very cool Heather and Kevin! I remember the exact moment that we found out that Baby Tommy was A BOY!!! My husband kept looking at the screen, exclaiming, “how can you tell?” Duh… it was larger than life — A BOY! Then, he said, “That? — oh, I hope he grows into it!” Oh, it was the best part of that pregnancy. Wait to you get hugs from your son — mommy/son bonding — the BEST!

It must be the season for boys :) I was really hoping for a girl since we have 2 boys but we are eager to meet our newest little boy… Hubby even admitted he’s so glad he’ll never have to walk down the Barbie isle lol
