I stole this photo from a co-worker who posted it on facebook. Just had to share because it made me laugh so hard!
In all seriousness, it was surreal yesterday experiencing my first earthquake ever. We were enjoying a beautiful day at the bay beach and Emma was sitting behind my chair. I felt shaking, but assumed that it was her shaking my chair so I ignored her and continued talking with my friend Mary. Then I saw her reaction and the fact that it wasn’t just me shaking!
It was weird. Became a little scary when the movement wasn’t stopping – I heard that it actually lasted 45 seconds or so. We were trying to make calls on our cell phones, which brought me back to 9/11 because we couldn’t get through to anybody. We decided to get out of there not knowing where the quake had originated from, and we were near large bodies of water.
Once we arrived home nothing looked out of place. I expected a frame to be slanted or something, but it was as though nothing happened. I’m glad I don’t live in California.

Wasn’t that the craziest thing? Nothing rattled or shook or anything, but I heard deep rumbling and then the walls were swaying as if they were riding on ocean waves. So freaky!
