Wordless Wednesday – Bucks in the back yard

By Heather

One cool thing about living in the Pine Barrens: We get to see beautiful creatures like these. Beautiful as long as they’re not eating my tomatoes. It’s a usual occurrence to see females, but not so much with males.

We’ve been getting a good amount of rain and the deer have been coming close to the house, even during the daytime, to enjoy our yummy grass. The other day I saw a pack of four young bucks and two females.

Beautiful! We have several doe that visit our backyard along with the herd of bunnies, lol!

That would be pretty neat, but I can see how they’d do some damage to your backyard produce.

Beautiful! We have some deer and they eat my hostas. Your backyard is huge! We live on a tight hill with deep, tall shade trees. No room for grass here.

Oh yeah, I’ve given up on having Hostas.
