GAP is a leading name in the clothing industry, known for casual clothing that is current but always classic. I love how their apparel takes hints from the trendy styles on the runways but that timeless style is never compromised. Items from GAP remain in my closet for years, because they would look as awesome today as they looked when first bought if they still fit!
Given the last part of my statement above, I needed to find my size in the GAP 1969 Premium Jeans that were unveiled last year. Since GAP has clothing for men, women and children, the whole family came along. This is one great improvement GAP has made over the years. It is so much easier to get everyone’s shopping done in one place! The day we went, they happened to be having a 30% off sale so we really lucked out. I even got my husband shopping for himself, which rarely ever happens.
The pair I ended up with is this boot cut jean. It’s a low rise, which I’m usually not crazy about, but the boot cut style always looks the best on me. This particular pair has a special waistband that prevents the gap in the back.
It’s a very dark wash which is my favorite. It works well in my wardrobe whether I’m dressing casual with a tee and a pair of boots, or if I’m going out to dinner I’ll pair it with heels and a dressy top.
Other than being more versatile, the dark shade is also very slimming. My husband and I were both amazed as I appeared to have lost a few pounds when I put these jeans on. I love optical illusions like that!
GAP has recently added kids denim to the 1969 line. Aren’t they adorable?
