Before Emma came along, her dad and I were very active.  We used to go for bike rides around the neighborhood for exercise and to socialize with the neighbors.  It was a lot of fun to get out and bond through an activity, something we missed doing the past few years.

Now I find out that we really didn’t have to miss out all.  With the WeeRide Limited Edition Kangaroo, we could have easily taken Emma along for a leisurely bike ride.  This bicycle seat attaches to the area between the adult rider and the handlebars.  The limited edition model is padded, making it an excellent choice for riding with a young child.

This photo was taken in the driveway.  Emma now wears a helmet during bike rides.

Pros:
Having Emma up in front of as opposed to behind the seat, she is sandwiched between Daddy’s arms offering more protection.  The harness straps are another good safety measure.  She loves being up at his level and so enjoys our family bike rides.

Cons:
Emma is under 40 pounds, which this model is rated for but because she’s so tall it is a bit cramped for her.  As you can see in the photo, her seat is right up front by the handlebars and we wished it would adjust back one notch so that she’d be closer to the bike’s seat.   We would have also liked a chest strap for the harness similar to a car seat.

Overall, I really love the product.  We’ll use this as long as we can because Emma just loves bike riding with us.  I’m sad that we’ll have to put it away at the end of the summer.

I wish I had known about the WeeRide Kangaroo system when she was smaller.
