Who Doesn’t Love the VeggieTales?

By Megan

Oh, VeggieTales! You captivate even cynical, multi-tasking-addicted me.  One of my favorite books to enjoy with Jack is God Made You Special; has been since he was just a little guy.  I do the voices and everything!  Well, the latest from the produce aisle is in: VeggieTales: If I Sang A Silly Song and VeggieTales: God Loves You Very Much!

VeggieTales is so pure and sweet, but without being sappy; it is a sure to please hit for any family, particularly one that wants their children to have an open relationship with God.  The thing I love best about Veggie Tales is sense of humor and its complete lack of pandering to the kids.  It talks to children in a way they can understand without patronizing.  The messages are simple and good – and most of all, fun.  Jack is really too young to follow the stories yet but the bright colors and great melodies succeed in capturing his attention.  And the songs are great fun for him, and for me too :)  I Love My Lips is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard – love it.  I look so much forward to using VeggieTales as a means of impressing upon him a great set of values, once he’s old enough to understand.

If I Sang a Silly Song retails for about $13 online.  God Loves You Very Much is specially priced at just $11 at the moment – don’t miss it!

The VeggieTales website features lots of interactive family fun that I’m sure your kids will love, too.

Which is your favorite VeggieTales character?
