Today I decided to head over to Wendy’s™ to buy a Jr. Frosty™ Halloween Coupon Book for $1 before picking up Ryan from preschool. Ninety cents to every $1 coupon booklet sold between 9/15/14 and 10/31/14 will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®. Today also happens to be my adoptive nieces’ fourth birthday and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than supporting the DTFA and this important cause.
Did you know that there are more than 100,000 children in foster care awaiting adoption? Every child deserves a loving home and that figure is just startling.
In 1990, Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy’s®, accepted President George H.W. Bush’s invitation to be the spokesperson for a national adoption awareness campaign. Just two years later, Dave established The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® as a non-profit public charity with one primary goal: to help every child in foster care find a loving, permanent family. This year, Wendy’s® aims to give $10 million to The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® has already placed 4,000 children with forever families. Isn’t that amazing? I’m proud to support the cause even if there wasn’t a coupon book to benefit from. But thanks to the generosity of Wendy’s®, each coupon book contains coupons redeemable for 5-10 Jr. Frosty treats™.
My oldest has been asking to go to Wendy’s® for our next fast food run and now when we go I can treat the kids to Jr. Frosties for free. I purchased one today as a treat for Ryan and I can safely say that he is a fan!
Even if you’re not interested in the free Jr. Frosty treats – and who isn’t – these coupons would be the perfect treat to hand out on Halloween in lieu of candy.
The coupon book is available through October 31, 2014 so visit your local Wendy’s® to purchase a Jr. Frosty™ Halloween Coupon Book* for $1, which benefits the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®!
*Coupon book may contain coupons for 5 or 10 free Jr. Frosty™ treats. Prices and participation may vary. Ninety cents to every $1 coupon booklet sold between 9/15/14 and 10/31/14 will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®. Coupons valid from 11/1/14 through 2/1/15. ©2014 Oldemark LLC”

What a great way to raise money for such a worthy cause and who doesn’t love a frosty.
My hubs told me these were out & I completely forgot to pick some up. They make for great treats for my kids fall parties. Thanks for the reminder!
Believe it or not, I used to work at Wendy’s when it first came to the Dominican Republic for a project in College about franchises, which was a new model in the country.
I love it when a company has a campaign like these books to help those in need. And, when it’s a tasty company all the better!
I get these every year. My son loves Frostys and the small ones are just right for him.
I just love it when companies help out people in need, amazing and great job Wendys!
Aw, how cute! He looks like he enjoyed that. Didn’t know they had a coupon book, that’s neat
Wow, that’s a lot of children sitting around in foster care. I’m very sorry to hear the number is so high. Good for Wendy’s for stepping in to help, every little bit is nice (and they’re doing more than just a little big)! I can see why you’re proud to support the cause, I would be too!
