I can’t believe it’s been a full month since I began my journey with Weight Watchers. This program really works, because as I explained earlier, it teaches you how to eat. You have the power to choose what you eat, but the points system encourages you to make the healthier choice and/or the correct portions.
When I lost my first five pounds, I was ecstatic! I thought, I am really doing this! My second milestone was when I was finally able to wear my wedding band and engagement ring together without writhing in pain. That’s been a goal of mine since Ryan was born.
We went on vacation for fourth of July week, and while I didn’t go overboard I did enjoy some Jersey Shore treats and didn’t count points during those seven days. I was prepared to gain a few pounds, but when I returned home I was happy to see that I had lost two pounds and even made the 5% goal.
I also joined the gym and have noticed a significant difference in how my body is changing. Especially my legs – I’m feeling much more comfortable wearing shorts this season and have been able to fit into pants that I could not wear last summer. That’s always fun!
At last weigh-in, I was 9 pounds down. I can’t wait to make the 10 pounds lost goal because that’s when other people start noticing your success, and I can’t wait to share just how I’m doing this.
The key to staying on track – for me, is by following encouraging people on instagram. I’ve found some great inspiration and helpful ideas by following others who are on Weight Watchers, moms who are into fitness, and people who encourage eating whole foods.
“Nothing tastes as good as being thin.” – It’s true! I feel so good about myself for finally taking control over my health and fitness. I can’t wait for next month!
I received 3 months of Weight Watchers’ E-Tools in order to provide my honest feedback. People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week.

I’ve been back at WW for a little over a month myself and am down 10 1/2 pounds. Much to my dismay, nobody has seemed to take notice, not even my other half. Maybe we should start hanging out so we can complement each other on how great we look!

Congrats – that is awesome. Losing weight on vacation is amazing. Last year when we went to Disney, I gained SIX pounds – eek. And that was walking about 10 miles a day at the parks. I am dreading eating their food again when we go in Oct.

I think it’s one of the few weight loss programs that truly does work. So happy for you (although I thought you still looked adorable right after you had him). Miss you!
