Wall Pops! Decals for Decor and Learning {Giveaway!}

By Heather

We finished the basement about a year ago, and the walls in the kids’ playroom have remained bare. It was time to do something about this. I didn’t want to slap up just anything on their walls; I sought decor that would be not only pretty but educational too. So when Wall Pops! contacted me and I saw all of the wonderful designs, I jumped at the chance to work with them.

alphazoo

First and foremost, I wanted to have an alphabet in the playroom. Just like they have in the classroom, or at least how I remember my childhood classrooms. I loved how the Alphabet Zoo kit included animals coordinated with each letter. It’s cute, educational and helpful for children learning their letters. There were a few animals that could have worked better (N is for Nannygoat?) but overall we are happy with this decal set. It’s great in a playroom, but the colors are soft and muted so this would also go well in a nursery.

It was a challenge trying to line the letters in a row, so we ultimately decided on this one up, one down pattern and I think it looks really lovely. What’s great about Wall Pops! is that you don’t have to stress over application because the decals are removable and replaceable. So if we decide to put up shelving where the decals are now, we’ll be able to change the location without worry.

Geography is one of those things that I wish I was better at, so I’d like to encourage my children to study maps. Maybe they’ll learn their states and capitals before I ever do! There are several maps available from Wall Pops! and even a Kids US map, but ultimately I went with the USA Dry Erase Map. I applied it down low on the wall so the kids can easily study, and with the dry-erase marker that’s included they can make notes or circle destinations.

I was amazed at the level of detail. Not only states and capitals can be seen but many towns within each state are noted as well as roadways and mountain ranges. This map is useful for everybody and I expect to be using this for a long time to come.

How would you like to have this map in your home? Due to the generosity of Wall Pops!, one of our readers will receive a USA Dry Erase Map! It is 24″w x 36″h, is completely repositionable, and comes with a free WallPops dry-erase marker.

    I would put this on a wall in the back of our living room. My family is spread out in different cities in different states, so it would be fun to have each one marked. It would also be fun to mark travel routes. This is a great way for kids (and adults!) to visualize the geography of the US.
