Unique girls’ fashions by SemSem

By Heather

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SemSem.

I absolutely love shopping for my daughter. It started the day I found out I was having a girl and my passion hasn’t wavered since. She’s tough on her clothes, so I will pick up the basics at department stores on occassion, but it bugs me when we’re out and see 2-3 other girls wearing the same outfit.

We recently discovered an online boutique stocked with beautiful, high quality and unique clothing for women and girls and I already have my eye on a few dresses for my oldest. It’s called SemSem.

First up is the Jamilla Long Dress. I know that fall is coming, but you can top this adorable dress with a denim jacket or a a sweater for a look your little girl will love. The dress is a pyramid jacquard smocked long dress style with grosgrain and gold snap detail. I’m in love with its bright blue color and free flowing design.

jacThe structured Camilla Dress is everything. Made of floral jacquard pattern featuring a grosgrain detail. This is what you wear to that fancy tea party or breakfast at Tiffany’s. I just melt when I see adult clothing styles on children and this look is just that. Your little girl will need her own pearls to go with.

broderieFinally, my favorite is the Aida dress. This hand embroidered broderie anglaise dress. The details are exquisite and remind me of the dresses girls would wear at the turn of the century. You just don’t find beautiful clothes like this in a store anymore. But you can find it online, thankfully.

The SemSem line reflects the life experiences of its founder and creative director, Abeer Al Otaiba. Holding a degree in civil engineering, Abeer is focused on attention to detail, quality, and functionality. From her childhood in France, she brings a sense of refined elegance to her designs. Her Mediterranean upbringing and time spent in the Emirates is evident in SemSem’s resort-ready pieces. As a nod to her hometown of Alexandria, SemSem weaves two widely recognized Egyptian symbols – a triangle and a lotus flower – into its branding and clothing designs.

Her dresses are not run of the mill, and the quality is an example of that. For the same reason, the clothing offered is not inexpensive. But for those special occassions, SemSem is a great choice.

I too love dressing up my girls. I like all of the above dresses. I know my little one would want them for herself.

I have an almost 8 year old that would love these dresses. Especially if she had one to match her doll, she would be so excited.

These dresses are so nice. Semsem sounds like an awesome boutique for unique patterns and styles.
