Must Try: Tyson® Day Starts™ breakfast sandwiches

By Heather

Breakfast is by far my favorite meal, but I’m not always able to prepare a complete meal before running out the door. Even if I do, there definitely isn’t time to sit at the table and eat an omelette Monday thru Friday. I was so excited to try Tyson® Day Starts™ sandwiches because not only are they a quick and easy meal solution, but they can be enjoyed on the go.

When I went shopping for Tyson® Day Starts™ sandwiches, I saw flatbreads, biscuit sandwiches and wrapped omelets. They all looked tasty, but I decided to start with two varieties: ham, onions and green peppers wrapped omelettes and the sausage egg and cheese biscuits. Yummy! Egg sandwiches are my favorite kind of breakfast.

The very first sandwich we tried was the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. There are four in a box, each wrapped for heating. Essentially, each sandwich is steam heated. I don’t like every type of sausage patty out there, but this one was very good. This made for a delicious breakfast. My husband Kevin agreed!

I’m always making breakfast burritos, so the wrapped omelettes really appealed to me. These come two in a box, in foil pouches. All you have to do is cut the pouch open and heat. The instructions say to heat for 1 minute and 45 seconds, but it took my microwave 2 minutes to heat thoroughly.

I love that Tyson® Day Starts™ products use high quality cheese, veggies, eggs and meats in their ingredients, so I get to enjoy a tasty breakfast and still be on time for preschool drop offs and morning appointments. It takes less than two minutes to heat the breakfast sandwiches.

Tyson® Day Starts™ sandwiches come in 7 different varieties. There are the wrapped omelettes: ham, onions and green peppers and colby and monterey jack cheese. The flatbreads include: ham, eggs cheese, onions and green peppers; eggs, cheese and bacon and eggs, sausage and cheese. The two biscuit sandwiches are eggs, sausage and cheese and southern style chicken breast filet.

These look great and seem pretty easy to prepare! My son could use a little mixing up of his breakfast routine. This may be way to go.
