Spring is here. Hoo-ray! All winter I’ve been working on decluttering the house and soon I’ll be making my way outdoors. A trip to Tractor Supply was in order for a few much needed supplies, and that’s just what I did last week in preparation for this first day of Spring.
I make it a point to support our local Tractor Supply store for many reasons. Before I first visited this store I thought it was a store for farmers to buy farming supplies and of course, tractors. As it turns out I was partially correct, but there are also so many other items for sale even for those of us who do not live on a farm. At Tractor Supply, you’ll find clothing and shoes, home decor, pet care, gardening supplies, and much more. I love that I can check off so many items on my household list with just one trip to this store, and I can even bring my dog!
Get Ready for Spring!
Step 1: Adjust your pet food
Spring means more outdoor time and an increase in exercise. It’s important to purchase the proper foods for my pet’s needs so that he has the energy for longer walks and dog parks. This brings me to my second reason for shopping at Tractor Supply, for the competitive pricing on pet food and supplies. I always go straight for the pet section and this time I found Purina® Pro Plan® Chicken & Rice Wet Dog Food. Normally we only feed the cats wet food, but Buddy is in for some tasty treats to help keep his energy level up.
The Purina Days event is happening at Tractor Supply this month; it’s the 5th year for their Purina Days promotion. Find Tractor Supply’s free standing insert in the paper running from March 28th to April 2nd so that you can map out your shopping trip around the special savings on all of your favorite Purina products, including two free cans of Purina® Pro Plan® Chicken & Rice Wet Dog Food when you purchase a large bag. We also have two cats who live in our home and cat litter is always on my shopping list. I was also able to pick up a large box of Purina® Tidy Cats® 24/7 Performance Clumping Litter at a great savings – $4.00 off! Buddy loves his new yummy wet food.
Step 2: Make a spring cleaning checklist
When I hear Spring I think of two things: Spring cleaning and road trips. We needed supplies for both and found them at Tractor Supply. After the harsh winter we had, our windows have taken a beating. It’s time to deep clean the windows inside and out and replace torn screens. I am dreading having to clean all of the windows but the window cleaning spray I purchased will make an easy job of it.
Our patio is also in need of deep cleaning so I asked a friendly Tractor Supply employee who directed me to Simple Green. Who knew? I’d recommend making a list of all the items in and around your home that are in need of a deep cleaning. Bring it along with you on your shopping trip.
Step 3: Plan Ahead
Are you planning any road trips for the months ahead? We are, so I also spent some time in the auto care aisles. I picked up motor oil to get the car into tip-top shape. My garden didn’t fare so well last summer so I plan on putting more time and effort into it this year. I went over to the gardening section and found a great new hose nozzle. I will be back for peat moss and soil, planters and weed killer when the weather decided to act like Spring around here. Think about what you hope to accomplish this Spring and let that be your guide. Here is my Tractor Supply haul.
Other than the stress-free shopping experience and great savings, I enjoy supporting retailers that help support the community. Tractor Supply is one of the few retail stores in our small town, and the management has always been generous by allowing our Girl Scouts to set up shop in the store to sell their cookies and in turn help the girls to support the community. I will always shop at stores that are mindful of this. By standing behind our youth they are helping us to improve our local community.

I love Tractor Supply Co. I only discovered them after receiving a circular in the mail. I only thought they sold farm stuff but I was so wrong they have so much more.

Ohh, I grin for a while. Reading this makes me realize that I have the same thought like you. Haha! That are awesome items which I never thought available in that place as well.

I could be wrong but I don’t think Tractor Supply stores exist here in Phoenix. Too much of a city I guess, lol.

I don’t live near one of these anymore. However, back in the day, I used to live down the road from one and we went alllll the time.

I have never heard of a Tractor Supply before, probably because you don’t really find too many tractors in Chicago. Sounds like a great place to find a bunch of helpful items.
