One of the items I received from my awesome virtual baby shower was the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine. Now, with a one-month old I am happy to report on the results of my review of this product thus far.
The perfect prep™ machine helps make a bottle in three simple steps.
1) Place a sterilized bottle on the unit, a hot shot of water is released into the bottle at a high temperature which eliminates any bacteria in the formula and bottle.
2) Add the correct amount of formula, covers the bottle and swirls the formula and hot shot for a rapid dissolve process.
3) Replace the bottle under the appliance and the remainder of the water is delivered and calibrated to provide a bottle with a temperature of 98 degrees F, the perfect temperature for a baby to feed.
What I love most about the perfect prep machine is that I can use for nighttime feedings. While we have a bathroom in our bedroom, the water just doesn’t warm up fast enough (the joys of home ownership, we need a new hot water heater!) – so we waste precious time and water waiting for it to warm up to get 4 oz to make a bottle. With the perfect prep machine, in just a few moments the warm water is delivered with just a press of the button. This would also be perfect for those that don’t have a bathroom near their bedrooms since no sink is required!
One issue is that there are some beeps that come from a machine when the water is coming out – not a big issue, more annoying for me to listen to at 3am!
