The Thank You Book by Mo Willems (prize pack #giveaway!) #THANKORAMA

By Heather

This post is sponsored by Disney-Hyperion.

Last year we were finally exposed to Mo Willems. I found some of his fun books at Emma’s kindergarten book fair. I feel like we are the last people on earth to discover his amazing children’s books.

mowillemsMo Willems is a number one New York Times best-selling author and illustrator, has been awarded a Caldecott Honor on three occasions, for Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale, and Knuffle Bunny Too: A Case of Mistaken Identity. The celebrated Elephant & Piggie early-reader series has been awarded the Theodor Seuss Geisel Medal on two occasions (for There Is a Bird on Your Head! and Are You Ready to Play Outside?) as well as garnering five Geisel Honors (for We Are in a Book!, I Broke My Trunk!, Let’s Go for a Drive!, A Big Guy Took My Ball! and Waiting Is Not Easy!).

TheThankYouBook

It’s super sad to hear that his latest book is the last to be released for the Elephant & Piggie series. The Thank You Book is now in stores. Here is the premise:

Gerald is careful. Piggie is not.
Piggie cannot help smiling. Gerald can.
Gerald worries so that Piggie does not have to.
Gerald and Piggie are best friends.

In The Thank You Book!, Piggie wants to thank EVERYONE. But Gerald is worried Piggie will forget someone . . . someone important.

To celebrate the new book, you can download these fun “I Will Thank” Speech Bubbles for your children: Download the The Thank You Book or The Thank You Book and share a pic on social media with the #Thankorama!

Visit The Thank You Book to learn how to draw Piggie, download activity sheets, and more! Follow @DisneyHyperion on Twitter, @DisneyBooks on Instagram and @The_Pigeon on Twitter.

It’s such a tough choice to pick just one, but I would have to say my favorite is “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” I have read it a hundred times with all four of my children and I never get tired of it! I would love to read these books with my youngest daughter who is a huge fan!
