The dairy aisle has always been my favorite section of the grocery store. It’s where I find the items I couldn’t live without in my day-to-day. I’m especially reliant now that I am on the Weight Watchers program.
It’s where I find low point snacks like string cheese, baby bells, and perhaps my favorite – greek yogurt. Also eggs, orange juice, cream cheese, sour cream, and my coffee creamer. I could go on and on. And on.
In my quest for better health and weight management, I find that I’m enjoying more dairy products in place of what I used to graze on – processed foods. Whole foods are really the way to go. And the idea of eating yogurts and other dairy products that don’t require refrigeration really grosses me out. That can’t be good for you?
My family enjoys many great meals that wouldn’t be possible without foods from the refrigerated dairy aisle. Some of our favorites: Lasagna, Nutella + Banana Croissants, Crustless Quiche, and my favorite treat: Peanut Butter Yogurt Pie.
The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) wants you to know all of the goodies that can come from the refrigerated dairy aisle. Whether it’s a grab n’ go snack or drink, or a great recipe – you’ll find the items you need in the dairy aisle.
The NFRA has teamed up with chef and culinary expert, Aida Mollenkamp to show our nation the possibilities by using ingredients in ways you may have never thought of. For ideas you can use at home visit www.EasyHomeMeals.com, The Dish Diary Tumblr and like them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

We always have soda in our fridge. Also, lemonade, cream cheese, string cheese, eggs, ketchup, salad dressing and lunch meat, but that varies week to week ;)
