Remember how rockin’ the Seattle music scene was in the late 90s? I recall bopping my head to tunes by Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden. Well now it’s translated to music made for our kids. The latest and greatest sensation, The Not-Its!
Led by Sarah Shannon, lead vocalist of the 90’s indie-pop band Velocity Girl, and with bassist/backup singer Nori Hoeft, this is no male-dominated band. Girls rock! The other three members of the band aren’t bad either. Tom Baisden plays the lead guitar, Danny Adamson on the rythm guitar and Mike Bayer provides the beat.
The band debuted in 2009 with “We Are the Not-Its!” and their second album to be released on July 20th is called, “Time Out to Rock”. It sure delivers, as I’ve been rocking out to it since I hit play.
