The Friendship Stone – Review & Giveaway

By Heather

**Contest Closed**
Have you ever known someone who was going through a tough time, and you wanted to help, but you just didn’t know how? I’ve been in this boat quite a few times. Whether you know someone with a serious illness or financial troubles–even a heartbreak, sometimes you feel like there’s nothing you can do to help, but there is. The Friendship Stone was originally created for a friend who was seeing her son through a rough patch. Cathy gave her friend a beautiful Tiger’s Eye stone she had collected while on a trip to South Africa, suggesting that her friend give the stone to her son as a gift he could hold onto when they were apart.

The process of giving empowers and heals, instills confidence and security,
changes perspective and forges a link for friends who are miles or oceans
apart.

The Friendship Stone comes packaged with a small suede sack, a blank gift card and a booklet which explains its meaning. The stone itself is a semi-precious Tiger’s Eye gemstone that is tumbled for smoothness. As it’s a product of nature, no two stones are alike. It’s a beautiful stone that’s nice to hold in your hands.

In 2009 we lost a family member to cancer. We tried to visit her in her last few weeks, but she was not feeling up to it. Since it was not possible to be there physically for her, I would have loved to have sent this lovely gift with a small note, “Hold onto this stone and know that we are always thinking of you.”

Flowers are nice, but sadly, they don’t last forever and their scent can be offensive to some, especially those who are ill. Life is full of challenges, so I know there will be a time when I can send this special gift to a loved one. I’ll store it in a special place until that time arrives.

BUY IT! Get 15% off your entire order with this special promotion code for The Penny-Pinching Mama readers: Penny

The Friendship Stone sells for $19.95. The company also offers jewelry, games and more. 10% of the proceeds will help the South African villagers from which these stones originate. They also donate 20% of profits to Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

WIN IT! One lucky reader will receive the Spontaneous Giving Pack which includes 3 complete Friendship Stone gifts!
