That first night at home with your new baby can be quite intimidating. I remember the feeling, and it’s completely normal I’m sure. There are no doctors or nurses to check in on you to make sure you’re doing everything correctly, and I’m pretty sure we got no sleep at all that night.
We took solace in having our precious newborn laying right beside the bed so we could check on her as often as we’d like. The one we used for Emma was borrowed and later returned. As a Kolcraft Mom Blogger, I wanted to see what the brand I’ve come to love had to offer in terms of bassinets, and I was introducted to the Kolcraft Cuddle ‘n Care Bassinet.
This bassinet has so many extra features and options than we had experienced before. It basically feels like a bassinet – play yard hybrid. I love the fact that it has a canopy for shielding light and drafts and also a mobile for entertaining baby, but that’s not the end of it.
There is also removable incline sleeper with a safety harness to help with babies suffering from colic or congestion. If you want the baby to lay flat like with a traditional bassinet, it comes right out.
You have the option of spoiling your baby with musical sounds and gentle vibrations along with a soft glowing light for when you want to check on baby in the middle of the night.
It’s easy to convert between a stationary and a rocking bassinet. Here it is shown in the stationary position on wheels which can also be locked. By pressing the green buttons and a gentle pull, the rocking panels are released.
I love the green and off-white Emerson pattern, it’s gender neutral and can be used for babies of either sex. With all of the features and amenities of this bassinet, I’m actually looking forward to that first night at home with our newborn.
