Since baby can’t use blankets like you do, it’s nice to have a wearable alternative that will keep him or her warm through the night that can’t be kicked off. I remember thinking that these wearable blankets would be perfect for Emma but we rarely ever used them for one reason; it was such a hassle getting them on and off for diaper changes.
The Baby DeeDee Sleep Nest is a fantastic alternative to traditional sleep sacs, and they’ve come up with a simple yet clever solution to the problem when they designed it to zip from the bottom. Other than making baby’s diaper easily accessible while still keeping him warm up top, diaper this is great solution to avoid “catching” baby’s skin in the zipper. If you’ve ever done that you know the horrible guilty feeling that comes after.
Similar to a wearable blanket in its basic form, the quilted Sleep Nest is really more of a sleeping bag. It’s entirely made of cotton for comfort and breathability. It features convenient snaps at the shoulders for easy on and off.
Since my little guy will be enjoying warm weather when he arrives, I chose the traditional Sleep Nest in a larger sizer to prepare for next fall and winter. There is also the Sleep Nest Lite, which was designed for warmer climates.
I’m happy to report that the award-winning sleep nest and sleep nest lite are both Made in the USA.
How much? The Sleep Nest is $36-39 for small, $39 for medium, and a large is $48.
