When I was pregnant with my first child, I was working full-time and didn’t get around to decorating the nursery completely until after the baby was born. In fact, the room could still use some finishing touches. This time, I’m home most days, and baby boy’s room is almost complete.
I’m having so much more fun decorating a boy’s room. The bedding I chose for his crib has a nautical theme, and I decided to carry out that theme throughout the room. It’s great when you can find those little details to make the room more special, and when the item is also useful, it just makes me feel organized and happy.
Like this Come Sail Away Hamper. It is not an exact match in terms of color, but it’s close enough to the colors and bedding in the room and of course it serves a purpose. I love that the mesh is removable so that we’ll be able to carry dirty laundry down to the laundry room without having to remove the decorative fabric. Assembly was very easy – just unfold and velcro – and it even came with helpful instructions.
How much? The hamper is $37.95 available at BabyBeddingZone.com.

I have the white curtains in Emma’s room and they are lovely. They’re very thick and made of Egyption cotton, completely washable too so no dry cleaning necessary!
