SwimZip Makes Kids Swimwear a Snap (Giveaway)

By Heather

We’re really looking forward to hitting the beach this summer, especially now that baby Ryan is on the move.  It feels like yesterday that we took our last beach vacation, and yet we’re heading in to spring in just a few days. This year will be a lot of fun as we watch Ryan take in his surroundings as a beach bum at the Jersey Shore.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been on the lookout for swim trunks and a top to protect his delicate skin. He’s an eczema sufferer so it’s extra important that we find a swim top that will help protect him from the rays. Of course I wanted to find something cute as well. I didn’t even think of what a pain it can be to get those tops on and off.

When SwimZip contacted me about reviewing their 50+ SPF swimwear, I was thrilled to see how adorable they were and glad that my search would be over. Then I noticed what they meant with the ‘zip’ in SwimZip. Like with any baby, my son hates getting dressed and undressed, especially when it means going over the head. Now there will be no more struggling getting a wet suit on or off because the SwimZip top is completely open in the front and zips right up. I love this!

We picked the Surfer Dude set and it really does look like something a surfer would wear – very cute. At only 10 months, this dude is fitting into 18-24 month but there is room to grow so this set should fit perfectly when he needs it this summer.

I did worry about the zipper aspect, but once I got this on him my fears were put to rest. There is a “zipper garage” at the collar to keep from catching your child’s skin, and there is also an inner flap to protect skin from zipper irritation. The trunks are fully lined and easy-on as well with the elastic waist.

SwimZip makes cute, quality swimwear for boys and girls size 6m-4T and at a great price – I didn’t see anything selling for more than $29.99.
