My story is not unlike many women out there. I have never been a skinny little thing and have always carried a few extra pounds around. Sometimes more than a few. I’ve lost it, I’ve gained it back, lost it, gained it, you know the drill. I know that dieting really isn’t any big formula to figure out, it is a matter of burning more calories than you take in. Of course regular exercise is a big part of it but I’ve never found the gym and I to be good partners. I prefer to keep my beat red face and jiggly flab to the privacy of my own home when I decide to delve into a work out.
The new Sweat Unlimited workout DVD was put together by Reebok Master Trainer, Sara Haley. The DVD is designed to appeal to a variety of women looking to get and stay healthy. It includes a variety of 5 separate workouts ranging from 5 minutes to 45 minutes, giving the option to customize and create a perfect routine for you based on what you have time for or are in the mood for. They include the 5 minute Sweat Extreme, 15 minute Sweat Strength, 30 minute Sweat Cardio, 45 minute Sweat Box and another 5 minute Sweat Stretch.
Lets be honest, none of us are going to get fit overnight by doing a 5 minute workout but on the other hand, 5 minutes of exercising is much better spent than 5 minutes wasting away on the couch munching on junk food. I’m finding they are a great way to slowly introduce me back into exercising. I can’t be expected to go from the couch to a full fledged 45 minute cardio workout after all, can I? These 5 minutes are fast paced and designed to give you a quick, but effective, work out. Those of you who are already more fit will find it helpful when you are short on time or to use in combination with another workout.
What I loved most about the workouts is that there are no fancy pieces of equipment you need. That means no need to go out and spend extra money on exercise equipment, no extra clutter lying around my family room, I can lace up my sneakers and get to it. It also makes these workouts perfect for anywhere.
If you’d like to give it a try, the DVD retails for $24.99 and is available at Sara Haley’s website.
