We received a copy of this game in order to play and share.
Mario is BIG in this house and after we finally bought the Nintendo Switch system we snatched up all of the existing Mario Games on this platform including Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart, Super Mario U Deluxe, Super Mario Party, and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. That’s a lot of Mario right? The thing is, they’re all great games and everyone enjoys them. So much so that we were excited to add another new game to our Nintendo collection that we’ve been anticipating for months: Mario Maker 2.
Super Mario Maker 2 allows you to play, create and share the side-scrolling Super Mario courses of your dreams, available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch system. In the single-player Story Mode you can play built-in courses to rebuild Princess Peach’s castle.
You can also make your own courses and for this I recommend the tutorials built into the game. Ryan was super frustrated until he went through the how-tos and learned how to customize his own course which is a lot of fun for kids of any age who ever thought of video game design, or just like to create! With Super Mario Maker 2 you can make your own courses or team up with a friend to make some together. If you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership you also have the ability to share your courses, access a near-endless supply of courses made by others and enjoy online multiplayer.
My husband and I grew up playing the original Nintendo games and it’s fun to play the new updated versions. We recently purchased extra controllers so that the entire family can play some of them together. We highly recommend Super Mario Maker 2 for some good old fashioned video game fun!
