Super Genius Games Giveaway

By Jennifer

Samples received for consideration.
SupGenius_Collection1_Flat-1024x898

Our 5 year old will be starting Kindergarten in September and we’re using the Summer to hone in some reading skills.  She learned a lot in preschool, but for her, consistency is key so we have to be diligent with the standard level 1 reading books and flash cards.  We also expanded our options to look at computer programs, phone/ipad apps and board games.  Trust me on this one, your little ones will love one of the items we tried out: Super Genius.

Super Genius is a new educational collection that brings the power of play to the learning process of reading and math. Designed for kids ages 5 and up, Super Genius is a matching game that was developed hand-in-hand with learning professionals. Match words to their images, addition equations to their sums, and multiplication equations to their products.

The Super Genius First Words cards give you two types of cards: picture cards and word cards. Any two cards have one (and only one) match, whether they’re two word cards, two picture cards, or one of each.  It’s actually a really smart idea that each card has at least one match – truly genius when cards are easy to get mixed up and lost.  Caroline LOVES when a card has all of the matches.  I love easy it is to play and how compact the game is – we can even play in the car!

This super quick game teaches young readers to be super quick at associating pictures and words, or to recognize the same word printed in different fonts and colors.  The challenge of discovering this first keeps kids engaged and having fun while they inadvertently practice problem-solving and linguistic skills.

There are 5 new games in convenient magnet boxes that make learning fun on the go. Each level that your child is working on, there is a game for it – can’t wait until we master reading so we can move on to math!

  • First Words
  • Reading 1
  • Reading 2
  • Addition
  • Multiplication 1

The idea is so smart and SO easy for the kids to catch on.  Super Genius won a coveted spot in FamilyFun Magazine’s Toy Fair Favorites.  I’m sure you and your family would agree!

The Super Genius games retail for about $13 and can be found online.
