It’s been a couple of years since we took a ride down to the Wildwood boardwalk. The kids started expressing an interest in waterslides this year, so we were excited to treat them to a day at Morey’s Piers. This place is second only to Disney World in terms of cleanliness and wholesome family fun in my book, and the kids didn’t remember our previous trips, so we knew it was time to return.
So we put Buddy in doggy daycare and took the 1 1/2 hour drive down south. Wildwood is just North of Cape May which is the southernmost point in New Jersey. We don’t go for the beach or for the boardwalk – we go for Morey’s Piers.
Morey’s is so much fun. We arrived at Mariner’s Pier around 10:30am and saw that the ferris wheel was going even though the rides do not. As we walked closer, we saw that it was a special event and guests were enjoying breakfast in the sky. How cool, right? Morey’s Piers always has fun events like these. The last time we were there in 2015, we attended a special breakfast with superheroes and princesses. The kids loved that one! The next fun special event is in honor of National Dog Day on August 26, Morey’s Piers in is treating dog lovers and four-legged friends to $5 off Doggie Dash registration, taking place on September 9, with the code: NATDOGDAY. The code is good from now through 8/27.
We headed straight for the water park and enjoyed about 4 hours of water park fun at Raging Waters, a delicious quick-service lunch, rides on the pier and arcade games. Ryan even won himself a Spiderman doll in the quarters game.
It was such a fun family bonding day for all four of us. When you buy Morey’s Piers combo passes which include water park fun and rides, you have access to rides on all three piers and three separate water parks. We had such a fun time that we decided we’ll stay for the weekend next year!

Morey’s Pier sounds like a lovely place to go as a family and enjoy various activities
Ahhh – I used to love going to Morey’s Pier and Mariner’s Landing. We’d stay at Lake Laurie Campground in Cape May for a week and spend a ton of time on the beach, but getting the combo wristband was always my favorite part of the trip.
Glad to see it looks just as fun today as it did a few decades ago!

My parents never took me so I thought Thundering Surf was the be all and end all. LOL I feel so gipped!
You definitely missed out, haha! I always had “Watch the Tram Car” stuck in my head for months after we were on the boardwalk. I have to get my kids down there some day!
That place looks so fun! Rides AND a water park. Oh and yeah a combo pass is the way to go.
This sounds like an amazing place to go! I wish it was close to us because I would love to check it out. It sounds like they’re very clean and take pride in their park. We would all have so much fun there.
What an amazing sounding place to go this sound likes, the water park must be amazing as well to spend 4 hours there, I’m a huge fan of all things water.
Looks like you and the family had lots of fun. I’ve never heard of Morey’s Piers but will add it to our family travel list. We’re always looking for affordable family fun.
Buying a package deal on the tickets to the different parks is always a great idea. Looks like a really fun day.
I like the idea of purchasing the combo package in order to visit all 3 piers and 3 water parks! I would love to take the boys to Morey’s Piers.
That sounds like a fun place to spend the day! My kids love waterparks and would have a blast at Morey’s Piers.
I have been to a few places in New Jersey but not many. Morey’s Piers sounds like a super fun place to spend some time!
