We’ve been busy all summer, running here and there. I welcome any shortcuts when it comes to cooking and cleanup, so long as they don’t make our food unhealthy. It’s so much easier to shove corn in the microwave that it is to boil a pot of water and cook it that way, but I’m not comfortable with plastic wrap in the microwave. God knows what type of cancer that will cause one day.
I was excited to give the Corn-n-Tater bag a try. It’s a microwaveable fabric pouch that allows for quick and easy, and more importantly, a healthier way to cook your favorite foods. It’s made from part cotton and part bamboo, and it’s all natural. I have been using my pouch mostly to cook potatoes lately. I find that my potatoes cook i half the usual time and I don’t have to prick them before microwaving either.
All you do is wrap the potatoes in damp paper towel, tuck them into the pouch and microwave for the recommended time. With the pouch you also receive a cook book which outlines cook times and instructions for various foods.
Buy It! The Corn-n-Tater bag comes in your choice of nine different designs for $13.99. This BPA-free product is made in the U.S.A.
One lucky reader will win their own Corn-n-Tater bag!
