I think the first time I tried Mighty Leaf teas was when I was staying at the Borgata in Atlantic City, on one of my many business trips there. The thing that’s so special about their tea is not only that they’re great tasting, but they’re enclosed in beautiful silken pouches. There is something so luxurious about the pouches that I love.
Nothing says summer like a pitcher of iced tea.
Today I had the chance to try their new Iced Tea line. Using the Takeya pitcher, all I had to do to make fresh-brewed tea is drop in a tea bag, fill with hot water and steep. It couldn’t be easier. I decided on Calypso Mango for my first brew and it was delicious both sweetened and unsweetened.
These are the four teas we received:
Calypso Mango
An indulging blend of luscious mango and tropical fruit that drenches South Indian black tea leaves. A sweet and cooling fresh-brewed iced tea with a rich, amber hue.Ginger Peach
Made from sun-swelled peaches and delicate ginger that infuse a refreshing blend of Indian black tea leaves. A blissful and lightly sweet fresh-brewed iced tea with a golden hue.Organic Black
Made of refreshingly rich and smooth south Indian organic black tea leaves. Hand-picked on the dewy slopes of the Nilgiri mountains, these vibrant organic tea leaves unleash a fresh iced tea with dark amber hue.Sunburst Green
A crisp taste of sun ripened oranges and sweet citrus that brighten mountain-grown Chinese green tea leaves. A cool and vibrant fresh brewed iced green tea wtith a light emerald hue.
I love that the pitcher is leakproof and can even be stored laying on its side full in the fridge. We always seem to be low on space in the fridge so that’s a real plus for us. I also like that it doesn’t come with a lot of doo-dads and accessories to organize and clean.
The other item that we received is the glass water bottle with silicon sleeve with is perfect when I need to take my tea to go. Both items are top-rack dishwasher safe, though I don’t think the pitcher would fit in my top rack so I will hand-wash it.
