Some of my favorite childhood memories involve visits to the local park with a friend. We’d always make good on the fact that there were two of us and play on the seesaw. Weee!
We have a swingset, a slide/climber, playhouse and a sandbox in our back yard, among the other fun toys. Somehow the kids can become bored despite the many fun things we have. It’s always fun to add a little something new to change things up and now that Emma has a partner in crime in her little brother, it’s the perfect time to add a seesaw to our back yard.
The Spinning Seesaw took about a half hour for my husband to assemble. He didn’t have any problems and told me it was a piece of cake to put together. While he was working on that, I had the kids and the neighbors kids outside playing with our inflatable pool slide.
As soon as I carried the seesaw outside, they ran over and played on it right away. They loved the fact that it spins; it adds a whole new element to the fun. It is very lightweight – I carried it out no problem – so I do recommend using the stakes that come in the package.
The Spinning Seesaw is designed for children age 3-8, up to 90 lbs per child. I closely watched as Ryan took a turn. He’s 14 months old but the size of a 2-year-old, and I was glad to see that he was enjoying the ride. The handlebars are great and I also love the seats; they have a slight back to them to keep kids from sliding off.
The Spinning Seesaw is a lot of fun for the kids. It’s available for $69.95 at HearthSong.com.
