The grill is my best friend in the summer time. With this appliance I can cook a nutritious meal without adding heat to the house and without dirtying lots of pots and pans – my least favorite byproduct of cooking. This means less work, and more time to take advantage of the extra daylight!
Hamburgers are a favorite around here, but the calories can add up quickly so I often replace my meat burgers with veggie burgers. If you’re watching your weight or you live a meatless, organic lifestyle I’m sure you’ve heard of Amy’s. In my opinion, Amy’s makes the best veggie burgers.
The best part about them is I don’t even have to wait for them to defrost before I cook them. They can go on the grill, in the pan or even the microwave. It’s food like this that help me continue to lose weight because it’s both easy and light.
There are many different varieties of Amy’s Veggie Burgers but my grocery store carries the All American Veggie Burger, so that’s what I picked up. Yum! I find that I don’t miss the meat when I add all of the condiments – and I actually like to eat them plain too!
I also love that Amy’s burgers are all natural and non GMO, they’re made without preservatives and contain no trans fats. One burger is just 140 calories and delicious!
