BBQ Party Game & Squiggle Pads {Giveaway}

By Jennifer

Summer is here! Time for trips to the beach, BBQs and kids out of school!! So now that the kiddies are home and hitting the road for camps and vacations, time to break out the games!

I don’t know about you, but for me there’s nothing better than spending a warm sunny day in the backyard with your family and friends for a BBQ.  Now kids can learn to be grillmasters too with Barbecue Party, the new action game by Goliath (MSRP $24.99)!

Players choose a card to see which food item to put on the grill for dinner, but they should watch out!  This grill is temperamental and may jump, causing all the food to fall off.  The winner is the first player to get 3 items off the grill.  It’s an easy to follow game, and the tongs and veggies make the game lots of fun!  Caroline and I had a great time talking about the veggies while putting them on the grill – she kept calling the red pepper a pumpkin (I couldn’t really blame her, they look the same in plastic!) — we were chatting about eating the meat and veggies and which ones we liked — it’s definitely an educational, fun game!

Barbecue Party is for two or more players ages four and up and does not require batteries.  If you’re looking for fun that sizzles, play Barbecue Party, and see if you will be grill master or dinner disaster!  For more information, please visit www.bbqpartygame.com.  Check out Goliath Games on Facebook and Twitter.

Doodling was once thought of as a mindless activity, but studies are now showing the opposite results. Not only is it linked to helping one remember, it can also inspire creativity. Everyone loves to doodle, and the line of SQUIGGLE activity pads and games is a simple vehicle to make that happen. The SQUIGGLE line of award winning games and activity pads now includes over 30 doodle pads and Spin and Seek hidden-object pads that offer something for all ages and interests.

SQUIGGLE Spin and Seek ($9.99) is a fun hidden-object game that will keep everyone busy for hours! Spin the wheel and find the hidden objects you land on. Use the included color highlighter to mark each object once found. Spin the wheel again to select another set of hidden objects or try an entirely new page . . . they are all unique.

The pictures are pretty small and challenging to find, but it’s a great mind-exercise!

There are lots of ways to have fun since each separate sheet is a new game.  Have a race! Compete against your friends and see who can find the 3 hidden objects first. It’s also great for travel and you’ll never run out of batteries! We took it along on a recent trip to Grammy & Grandpa and it kept our 4-year old occupied!
