When I first saw the Yoga DVD for kids by I thought it was an excellent concept. True to Playful Planet’s motto, ‘Empowering Kids and Their Families to Be Healthy and Live Sustainably’, the program combines yoga exercise and story time with messages about the endangered condor and saving the whale. Even the dvd packaging is recyclable.
This dvd offers exercise for the body and the mind, not just feeding imaginations but educating children at the same time. What’s not to like?
I thought combining story time with yoga exercise just might be the key to get kids off the couch…other kids.
I certainly didn’t expect my daughter to partake, but after a few minutes of observation and a little encouragement, she actually started doing the same moves as the other children and the instructor.
