The Vintage Pearl.  You’ve probably heard the name, right?  I know I have – the company has received many accolades and for good reason.  The Vintage Pearl is an online boutique that offers the most awesome, unique, handcrafted jewelry I’ve ever seen.  The drool-worthy designs are so classic that they’ll surely become family keepsakes.

I’m normally a very indecisive person, but when I saw the chunky spinner ring, it was love.  A chunky ring has been on my shopping list for a long time, but up until now I just hadn’t found one I loved enough to buy.  This one is somehow both bold and simplistic at the same time.  And the neat part is, the thinner band on top of the ring actually spins around!

Now that I found my ring, the hard part was deciding what to engrave it with.  I already have so many pieces with my daughter’s name imprinted, but I still wanted something meaningful.  I’ve loved the writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson every since I discovered them in high school, so I chose a favorite RWE quote, “every wall is a door.”  An important reminder, indeed.

The Vintage Pearl gives you, the customer, a fair amount of control over the design process.  For instance, with the chunky spinner ring, I had the option of choosing a copper or sterling spinner, hammered or smooth surface, and could decide between four font styles.

It took about a week and a half to receive my customized ring after placing the order, and it was well worth the wait.  I love my new ring!  It was also wrapped so prettily with in a kraft box with a light blue ribbon – and a “tvp” hand-stamped charm.  A lovely finishing touch.

These were a few of the items I almost selected – and I’ll be passing along the suggestions to my husband for my birthday, Mother’s Day and our wedding anniversary which are all coming up this May.
