Diet is a four letter word in this house. Not because I can’t handle being on one or that I mind making changes with regard to food and fitness, but because it’s more work for me. I’m already a short-order cook because my kids are super picky, so when I’m watching my weight I have to cook not two but three meals. Back in the day b.c. (before children), living a healthy lifestyle was easy. Well maybe not easy, but much less complicated that it is now.
The temptations are all around me. I live in a house full of snack-a-holics and carb cravers. And we’re busy. I simply don’t have the time to spend on making healthier versions of my favorite foods. Too many steps and time consuming recipes are not my thing. So in my constant haste I end up grabbing something quick and not always so healthy. I’m working on that.
I like the ideology that Bethenny Frankel employs and preaches: You can have it all, just not all at once. I’ve followed her journey from the beginning of season one on The Real Housewives of New York City. I’ve always admired her ability to control her weight and stay healthy simply by means of portion control. I was so excited to check out some of her newest products from the Skinnygirl brand.
In the box was a Skinnygirl™ white cherry flavored water enhancer, Skinnygirl™ Sparklers in peach passionfruit and black raspberry, Skinnygirl™ peach bellini green tea k-cups and Skinnygirl™ mocha cappuccino sugar free mints. These products are all excellent for staving off hunger.
Low calorie drinks and mints are a go-to when I’m trying not to snack. It was difficult to choose but my favorites were the cleverly-packaged mints and the sparklers. The mints taste great and help me curb hunger when I’m not really super hungry and want to avoid mindlessly snacking.
I’ll admit, I’ve never really liked sparkling water in the past. But recently, I’m finding that a bubbly drink feels like a bit of a treat. I like to throw in some fresh sliced fruit and enjoy that as an afternoon snack.
Now the Skinnygirl™ chocolates are in a category of their own. These are not appetite suppressants but conveniently single-serve chocolates that are only 100 calories a piece. You can have your chocolate without the guilt. I enjoyed both the sea salt toffee truffles and the pistachio caramel dark chocolate bars, both are all natural premium Belgian chocolates. If I had to pick a favorite I’d go with the dark chocolate bars.
I love that I can enjoy a chocolate treat without having to divvy out a 100-calorie portion from a larger chocolate bar, not to mention the temptation of an enormous amount of opened chocolate!
Are you drooling yet? I know you’re wondering where you can buy these amazing products. Search the Skinnygirl store locater to find a store near you.

I’ve heard about some of the Skinny Girl Products but haven’t tried them myself. Dieting can be tough when you have picky eaters in the house lol

Definitely the Dark Chocolate bars. It would be guilt free snacking for me and I still get to enjoy one of the best food on the planet – chocolate!
