We had the pleasure of attending another fun event at the Liberty Science Center the week before last. This was the second time we attended an event there. Last summer we dropped in to see the Beyond Rubiks Cube exhibit. We love visiting the center because it’s both educational and fun for the kids.
All of bloggers and their families were treated to a lovely lunch complete with a beautiful view of the New York City skyline and Lady Liberty. After our bellies were full, the kids learned about what makes up blood. All of the children had a chance to “make blood” by mixing together items that represent the different elements, platelets, red blood cells and white blood cells.
We were there to see the Sesame Street Body Exhibit and there was no one better to welcome us than Elmo himself. The kids learned so much about their bodies in a fun, easy to understand exhibit.
The kids had so much fun exploring the exhibit and the rest of the center. Kids can discover just about everything pertaining to their bodies here.
The fish and animals are always a favorite and Emma had fun climbing the rock wall and this amazing structure.
Unfortunately the doors were closed for the outside play area on the lower level, but that gives us a good excuse to return to the Liberty Science Center in a few weeks when the weather is warm enough.
