Sending Valentines to the Grandparents

By Heather

Normally we mail Valentine’s to our loved ones this time of year. Everyone loves getting mail, and cards let our families know that we love them. But unless it’s something extra special, cards usually get thrown out.

Wouldn’t you rather get your parents something extra special for Valentine’s Day that could never possibly get thrown out? Think about a photo book. What grandparent doesn’t love receiving beautiful photos of the kids?

I just made up this cute little book of photos from our first family shoot last year. Love it!

Photo books are great because unlike a mailed photograph or two, they’re great on their own. The recipient won’t need to frame them or organize them into albums, and yet you can still display the book’s cover or stack it on a shelf or mantle. I like to make them up from photos taken during a special occasion, or as a “yearbook”.

Your Valentine’s Day photo books might contain:

  • Photos. Duh!
  • Kids’ artwork
  • Special recipes
  • Write up your own storybook
  • Any combination of the above

That’s a great Valentine’s Day gift idea for the grandparents. I know my mother would LOVE to get something like that full of pictures of my boys.

I LOVE photo books! Making them, receiving them, look through someone else’s. They are the best kind of personalized gift for any holiday.

Photo books are amazing gifts! I’ve made numerous ones throughout the years for my mom. She loves them every single time!
