The theatre can be hit or miss with kids, and that’s why we love taking them to see children’s productions. America’s oldest, Walnut Street Theatre is a beautiful historic landmark located in downtown Philadelphia and oddly enough this was the first time visiting for all of us.
We saw Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and the show was just about an hour long, perfect for wee ones who want a taste of theatre. The kids enjoyed it but my six year old grew weary about half way through. Light snacks were offered for sale at the refreshment stand which is always helpful when you’ve got hungry kiddos in tow.
