Santa Margherita Cocktail Recipes

By Heather

Samples received for consideration.

Summer is winding down, but most of us are celebrating one last hurrah over the upcoming long weekend. Many of us have barbecues and get togethers planned. It’s the perfect time to make something special to share.

If you know me well, you know I enjoy my Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, but I also love the Rosé and Prosecco. These sparkling wines are perfect all on their own, but these clever cocktails are undeniably tasty. The cocktails were served at the brand’s She Shed Event a couple weeks ago, where guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and experienced a variety of cooking demos from Top Chef winner, Richard Blais – full recipes below!

Summer Cup

Ingredients:
Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé
1 oz. Lillet Rose
½ oz. vodka
½ oz. strawberry and rhubarb syrup
Pinch of salt
1.5 oz. watermelon Juice

Method: Shake and strain on ice and top with 2 oz. Sparkling Rosé. Garnish with watermelon radish wheels.

Peach Royale

Ingredients:
Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
1 oz. tequila
1 oz. white peach purée
½ oz. lemon juice
½ oz. simple syrup
3 dashes peach bitters

Method: Shake and strain on ice and top with Prosecco. Garnish with a peach wedge.

Spritz O’Clock

Ingredients:
Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé
1 oz. Aperol
½ oz. vodka
½ oz. orange juice
Dash of passionfruit purée
5 drops of orange flower water

Method: Build over ice and top with Sparkling Rosé. Garnish with an orange wheel and spray of orange blossom.

Garden Cooler

Ingredients:
2 oz. Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
½ oz. St. Germain
½ oz. lime juice
Dash each of celery and cucumber bitters
Dash of verjus and saline solution

Build over ice and top with Prosecco. Garnish with cucumber slice and fresh herbs (shiso, opal basil, chrysanthemum).
