I’m a fan of Safety 1st and use their products regularly now that I’m a mom; I have several of their babyproofing items in regular use around my home. [I just brought the Safety 1st Beagle potty home this weekend to start getting Jack accustomed to the idea of potty time!] They gave me a sneak peak at their new Walmart-exclusive Safety 1st Secure Lights Audio Monitor recently, and I wanted to share it with you.
The signal range is an impressive 600 ft., and it features 4 channels, all for a very reasonable $17 price tag. I found the quality comparable to the much more expensive system I’ve used since Jack was born. I use this monitor to listen in to what’s happening downstairs should I want or need to run upstairs for any length of time and leave Jack unattended, say watching TV or playing with his toys. I found it quite suitable for that purpose. I think it would make a fantastic take-along for a family vacation, as well.
It’s great to know that there are affordable but high quality options out there for moms in a range of situations, isn’t it?
One Girl Gone Mom reader will win it! (US – Ends 7/30)

I really like Safety First products, I was impressed by the whole line. I really feel that they make your infants room a lot safer and give parents peace of mind. I incorporated Safety First products in the nursery along with Wonder Bumpers and Snug & Tug swaddle blankets, both from a company called Go Mama Go Designs. Wonder Bumpers are a safe and posh covering that goes over the crib bars and leaves no room for little heads or limbs as traditional bumpers may. Snug & Tug swaddle blankets are the coolest and easiest swaddle blanket around in my opinion. I feel all of these products are high quality and can be handed down from one sibling to the next.
