My very first official back-to-school season has been stressful. I hear most parents talk about how great the school season is but sometimes I feel as though I’m in school! If we’re not doing homework, I’m chauffeuring from school to activities or running to PTA meetings. This is a lot of work!
I look forward to unwinding on Friday and Saturday night and once we have the babysitter lined up, it’s finally our time to relax and have fun. The last time we went to dinner and a movie we had to stop at the bank atm on the way home so that we could pay her. She left the house and then 30 minutes later we got a call that she must have dropped some of the cash in the driveway while getting into her car.
I should have given her a prepaid card instead. Prepaid cards like OneVanilla allow parents to leave $20-$500 for their babysitter but in a safer manner. OneVanilla is accepted anywhere Visa cards are and if and if the card is lost, it can be frozen and a new one with the funds on will be provided.
It’s also a great idea to leave a card for sitter to take care of dinner so that you can make your dinner reservations on time. Parents can also view exactly how many pizzas were ordered and check the balance of the card online or over the phone.
How do you pay the sitter? Do you think a OneVanilla gift card would be helpful?
