Rudolph’s Gift Guide Day 15: Skin Free Review & Giveaway!

By Heather

**Contest Closed**
Working as a pharmacist, Julie Hilton was repeatedly asked for recommendations on treating skin care problems like atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, etc. In fact, Julie herself suffers from chronic allergies and eczema. Her frustration over not being able to find remedies to treat such conditions prompted her to formulate her own line of effective and affordable products. In 2000, she created Skin Free Skincare, which incorporates naturally occurring vegetable oils and butters that absorb into the skin without feeling greasy.

I do have sensitive skin, but no allergies or conditions that I know of. However, now that we’ve turned on the heat in our house, my skin has been very dry and itchy. The After Shower Spritz is an oil that you apply while your skin is still damp. Once you’re finished, towel-dry your skin as usual. At first I thought this was going to be too oily for my taste, and I’d have to hop back in the shower to wash it off. However, the oil absorbed rather quickly with no residue, and my skin was nicely moisturized. Next, I applied the Body Balm. All Skin Free products are supposed to be fragrance free, but this one has a scent to it. A yummy, chocolately scent. It’s a bit thicker than the spritz and is a good alternative to body lotion. Last, I used the Daytime Light Moisture. This product is in a glass dropper, and I felt like a chemist as I added a few drops to my face! It’s a nice, light moisturizer and claims to reduce the effects of aging. The Skin Free products are all generously sized, and a little truly does go a long way. Best of all, they are well priced. Better products than you’ll find at the supermarket easily at half the cost.
