Home decorating can be both costly and time consuming. I’ve spent the last four years driving from store to store trying to find a way to fill up what seems to be an endless amount of wall space, and in all this time I’ve only found a few select items that I liked, that were also within my budget. Because, like I said, we’ve got A LOT of walls to fill.
Within the past few months, I discovered vinyl wall art. When friends and family visit, they think the artwork applied to my walls is hand-painted on. When I tell them the truth, they’re amazed at the finished appearance of vinyl.
When I happened upon RightOnTheWalls.com, I found so many gorgeous designs. I literally sat for a good hour just looking through all of the designs pictured on the website. As the most indecisive person ever, it was hard for me to select one from all of the options, but I finally settled on the “Bless This Home with Love and Laughter” quote from their section of new additions.
The designs have all been created, but that doesn’t mean you have no say in the process. You choose the color to fit your design scheme, and your custom wall art is created and shipped to your home.My order was shipped quickly and all of the necessary tools were included in my package including detailed instructions and a burnishing tool. The last company I ordered from did not include this device (they advised to use a credit card!) and the instructions were rather unclear so RightOnTheWalls.com definitely gets an A+ on having it together. They even included a sample freebie in the box! The vinyl graphic installed rather easily. I first eyeballed the quote to see that it was centered above my windows, and then DH took over and hauled out the measuring tape and level! When he was done with his equations, we got to the real meat of the project. We removed the backing and then DH got to smoothing it over. (I’m vertically challenged, so he had to do it!)
Then the fun part. Removing the top layer, and then the big reveal.
I included our kitchen light in this shot to give you perspective. My husband thinks it looks crooked, but I think it’s because of the font used with ‘Love’ and ‘Laughter’. I’m really pleased with it. What do you think?
