I’m trying really hard to stick with a low (not no) carb diet lately. I feel it’s the most effective weight loss method for me. But darned if I wasn’t craving a nice big chocolate chip cookie right now.
A great alternative to a chewy brownie or cookie are these Quest Bars. They come in 16 yummy flavors. I have yet to try them all but there hasn’t been one that I don’t like so far. Chocolate peanut butter, coconut cashew, and strawberry cheesecakes are my top three and I can’t wait to try the others. Even the kids like them.
They’re also awesome for breakfast when I don’t have time for berakfast, or to keep in the car. They are loaded with protein, low in carbs, are gluten free and have no added sugar. As with any protein bar, make sure you drink lots of water! I eat them as they are, but can you believe that you can make recipes with these? Follow the Quest channel on YouTube for details.
Quest Bars are sold worldwide including GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe and can be found at any of their 6,000 stores. For further info on Quest Nutrition, check out www.questproteinbar.com.
Quest bars are the absolute best. Warm them for about 30 seconds in the microave then bake for about 6 minutes, best cookies ever! Great crumbled on yogurt too:)
I just tried microwaving and was amazed. Didn’t realize you could bake them too!
Hmm, they actually look pretty good! I need to try them, I guess!
I like them, but they are better after a few seconds in the microwave!
Ooh that’s a great tip, thanks!
I definitely don’t think I get enough protein in my diet, so these would be perfect for me.
Indeed! I find it hard to stop once I start eating them though!
