Today is the first official day of fall. Chances are you are planning a trip to the pumpkin patch over the next several weeks if you haven’t been there already. We just took our very first trip yesterday.
We usually take a few hayrides to pick out pumpkins because the whole family loves it so much. Normally all that happens when I take them them home is I just set them down somewhere, either on the porch or in different areas throughout the house. This year I vow to up the ante and actually try and do something a little more creative with them.

Yesterday we picked up a pumpkin large enough to carve so we’re determined to carve at least one this year. I love these pumpkin carving ideas.
