Update: My son loved this scooter while it lasted. It hasn’t taken a full charge in a long time.
After hearing about this brand new electric scooter designed specifically for pre-schoolers, I have to admit I was hesitant. I did not think that this would work out. An electric scooter…for my two-year-old? I just couldn’t imagine this happening. As it turns out, the Pulse Safe Start Scooter is my son’s favorite toy, and now that I’ve seen it in action I get it.
Your child can choose the theme of his or her scooter, between princesses, Ninja Turtles, Spiderman, Minnie Mouse, Doc McStuffins, Cars, Frozen, and Sofia. It was an easy choice for us to pick Cars – one of Ryan’s favorite movies. How nice is it to have so many options?
The scooter features a very stable, low and wide 3-wheel design. To start the scooter, the child needs to simply hop on and press the button and it will slowly accelerate, traveling up to 1.75 mph. My son has an easy time maneuvering the scooter around corners. In fact when we first got it he looped through the house on it endlessly.
If you have a little one trying to keep up with older siblings, this is the perfect toy. Ryan is very happy and confident while riding this scooter, while bike-riding scares and frustrates him. It’s great to see him actually enjoying an activity outside while his sister rides her two-wheeler.
The Pulse Safe Start Scooter is available where toys are sold – Toys’R’Us, Target, Amazon, Walmart and many other retailers.
