If you’re looking for something fun and different to do as a family this summer, I’ve found just the thing! The kids always look forward to going to local arcades for a different gaming experience, but due to Covid-19 many are closed right now. ProjeX is a fun new way to get that arcade gaming experience at home for a lot less money than you’d spend visiting an arcade. The best part? You don’t even need a television for it. This means that the game can be taken anywhere.
ProjeX is a battery operated projector (you will need two “AA” batteries) so you can take the fun anywhere you’d like. There is an LED scoring display so you can easily keep track of your score, and the laser pointers help players with their aim.
In order for ProjeX to work, you need the room to be dark as the game is projected right onto your wall. During the day we play with the ProjeX in the basement where we have very few windows. You can even take the fun outside in the evening. Just turn the outside lights off and point your ProjeX toward a blank wall.
We had so much fun blasting the moving targets as a family. The controls and the gaming itself remind me of some of the very first video games I played like Duck Hunt!
There are five different built-in games with three skill levels: beginner, advanced and expert with three interchangeable image slides! You can blast ducks, targets or UFOs – each with its own unique sound effects!
I like that you can change the slides according to difficulty level.
-
- Blue (targets) = easy
- Red (UFOs) = medium
- White (ducks) = difficult
There are also three different ways to play. You can either play solo, have a head-to-head competition or play “Co-Op,” where 2 players team up and combine scores. I love that the kids can play at a team which minimizes fighting!
Retailing for $49.99, the ProjeX game can be purchased at Target, Walmart and www.ProjeXGame.com.
