Preserve 2010 memories with Café Press {Review & $50 Prize Pack Giveaway}

For the Christmas before last, I made a personalized calendar for grandma.  It featured images of Emma during each month of that year.  Of course the gift was well received, but then my husband asked me, “What about one for us?”. So this year, I personalized a calendar to hang in our home so that we could relive our favorite moments from 2010.

Café Press offers a few different options, however I selected the custom oversized wall calendar.  Clearly, I had no concept of just how large this calendar would be, but now that it’s here I love every inch of it.

The design process is fairly straightforward.  I was a little bummed that there were no graphics to add and you can only upload one image per page.  If you want something more ornate you’d have to design your layout using an external program first, and then upload.  I didn’t have time for that, so I just stuck with the photos I wanted to use.

I’m actually more than pleased with the simplicity of this calendar.  It features the beautiful photos of my daughter in a large format and we are all wowed by the quality of this calendar.  I will definitely be ordering another calendar next year!

Another tradition we started in 2009 was to design a personalized ornament so that we would have a memento from each Christmas.  This year, I personalized the ornament with Emma’s Christmas card photo.  It’s the same shape we ordered from Café Press last year, but the image quality wasn’t as clear and is a little dark.  It also would have also been nice if we could have inscribed the date, but it is still a lovely ornament.

I also had the chance to personalize a custom coffee mug, and I chose the Christmas photo for that too.  Again, it was probably not the best image to use as it was printed rather dark and orangey, but I am getting used to it!
