How to prepare kids for cold and flu season

By Heather

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pfizer.

The kids have gotten their flu shots, wash their hands frequently and use antibacterial soap. We’re doing everything we can to prevent getting sick as cold andflu season begins, but that doesn’t mean we won’t contract an illness. All of those preventative measures are definitely part of how we prepare for cold and flu season, but we also have to prepare to get sick.

As long as we have the right medicines, we will get through cold and flu season just fine. It’s medicines like Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin® and Children’s Dimetapp® that help relieve our symptoms and help us feel a little better until those nasty viruses are gone.

So while you’re planning for the holidays, getting your shopping done and planning trips, make sure you plan for your kids to get sick. Unfortunately, they probably will – but at least you’ll be prepared. And if they don’t? That would be the icing on the cake!

Enter to win!

$25 virtual Visa gift card and additional Pfizer pediatric products including:
Children’s Advil® Suspension in Grape, Children’s Robitussin® DM Day/Night Pack and Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough

I hate when kids have fevers. High fevers can happen fast so Advil is a go to for me.

I remember using robitussin on my oldest daughters to break their cough. I prefer advil as a pain reliever.

We have already experienced colds and flu this year and it is only November! I had no idea Robitussin came in a day and night pack, I shall have to look for it.

We are doing everything too to stay healthy. It is hard with little ones. We are washing hands when we come in the house from anywhere. Hopefully that will help, otherwise we will pick up some cold medicine

My husband is just getting over a cold, so this hits close to home! We try to do the same prep with flu shots, hand-washing, etc. Hopefully all this will help, but having these extra OTC meds on hand will be a big help!
